Amnesty International geht davon aus, dass in der mexikanischen Grenzstadt in den letzten zehn
Jahren 370 junge Frauen umgebracht wurden. Die mexikanische Menschenrechtsorganisation spricht
von �ber 4.000 Vermissten. Meist verschwinden die Maedchen auf ihrem Weg zu oder von der Arbeit.
Manchmal werden die Opfer verstuemmelt und gefoltert, fast immer vergewaltigt. Der Film zeichnet
das Portraet einer Stadt, in der das menschliche Leben offenbar keinen Wert, geschweige denn
Schutz genie�t - zumal, wenn es weiblich ist.
